Full-time, Part-time, Temporary (Must be 18 and above to apply for this job).
An exciting position has become available to work as support worker in our specialist Services in London & Kent. You will join an attentive team working in a specialist, low secure hospital for adult patients with Mental Health & Learning Disabilities for patients over the age of 50.
The client is offering flexible weekly shifts, with the possibility of block blocking.
These roles are immediate start,
Essential skills:
· Mandatory Training
· Mental Health Act (desirable) Positive
· Behavioral Support (desirable)
· Security, search and ligature (desirable)
· Face to face conflict management and physical intervention training, ideally MAYBO but could be MAPA or PMVA- must be suitable for use with LD and non-pain compliance
Support Worker essential skills:
· Provide support to senior and nursing staff
· Promote positivist
· Observe, assess and respond appropriately to patient needs
· Prepare and maintain patient records
· Build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
· Keep calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging or confrontational behavior
· Good organization and problem-solving skills
· Manage and communicate sensitive information effectively and in accordance with legislation
· Effective communication and teamwork skills

· A minimum of 6 months recent experience as a hospital based mental healthcare assistant
· Occupational Health in line with the dept. of health
· Eligibility to work within the UK
· A Care Certificate qualification
· PVMA or MMVA
